Join Yedidya Yasu, our St. Paul Jewish community Shaliach, on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at 6:00 PM at the St. Paul Jewish Federation offices for the Our Israel learning series. Yedidya will share the remarkable journey of Ethiopian Jews to Israel, particularly through the perspective of his mother, Ayala Yasu, who came to Israel at the age of 13 as part of Operation Moses. This covert operation took place from November 21, 1984, to January 5, 1985.
This event offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into the challenges, triumphs, and emotional experiences of Ethiopian Jews during their rescue and resettlement in Israel. Plus, dinner is included!
This series will be held on Sundays once a month for three months, providing a great way to start the week by learning and sharing while celebrating the enduring bonds that unite Jewish communities worldwide.
