Join The Twin Cities Cardozo Society for a fascinating CLE on July 22 at 12pm.

Fischman scholar Avi Milikovsky will give a talk on the role of the Israeli Supreme Court in the issue of the conscription of yeshiva students, the tension between the judicial and executive branches in this context, and the relationship between law and broader social processes in Israel.

Avi Milikovsky serves as a senior attorney in the High Court of Justice
Department of the Israeli State Attorney’s Office, where he represents the
Government of Israel in front of the Supreme Court sitting as the High Court of
Justice (“Bagatz” in Hebrew). In this role, he has led the state’s representation in
some of the most significant legal proceedings before the HCJ in recent years.
